Our fun night out

While my brother Jordan and his wife Brooke were in town we decided to have a fun night out. Matt's parents were nice enough to watch Carson while we were out. We went to this moroccan restraunt called Merekesh. It has great food, a fun atmosphere, and even has belly dancers. Then we went to the Bellagio to see the garden decorated for christmas.

Baby Carson

Carson will be four weeks old tomorrow, I can't believe it!!! It seems like he has been part of our family forever. I don't have any exciting stories to tell you, because he just sits there, my favorite part of the day is when he has a gas bubble and smiles and when he falls asleep on me. Here are some new pictures of my baby.

Am I CRAZY???????

Many of you probably know this, but I am a big time sleep talker. I am the child that never grew out of the night terror thing. I guess my dreams are really realistic to me or soething. My whole life I have drove my parents, brothers, Matt, and roomates CRAZY!! I have been woken up standing on the bed screaming that my clothes were attcking me, gone into my brothers room crying because my feet fell off and I couldn't find them, and fighting Matt in bed because I was dreaming I was being buried alive, and he was trying to get me lay back down, and I was trying to fight off my mystery attacker from being buried alive. My parents even video taped me once when I was little because I didn't believe them. (I haven't decided if that was just plain mean of them to tape me, and be laughing while I'm scared to death in my sleep) My point to this blog is ever since I had Carson I have these crazy dreams about him. One night I had a dream that Matt stuck him behind the bed because he wouldn't stop crying, or that I fell asleep holding him and he was wrapped in the down comforter and couldn't breath, and I couldn't find him anywhere. I also once a night have one that we have just lost him somewhere. It's the worst feeling ever! I'm used to waking up scared from my night terrors but this brings it to a whole new level. I have had them every night atleast once a night, and Matt is getting soooo annoyed with me. So does anyone else get these kind of dreams or am I just crazy??? By the way does anyone else wish they had spell check on there blog?? I know I do, I'm not a great speller anyways, and when I get going I miss a ton, so I apoligize for all the mistakes!

Bringing Home The Baby

Sorry I've been really bad about posting. We finally got to bring Carson home on Friday afternoon!!!! It's been a exhausting and awsome all in one! I have to say I wouldn't mind having those night nurses back to take care of him, but it was getting so exhausting spending all my time at the hospital and having to drive back and forth. I love just being able to hold my baby all day without a million nurses and doctors hanging around, and to hold him without all his cords coming out of his body. He's such a good boy and he is sleeping pretty good. We feel a little out of our league, but we are getting the hang of it. Here are some new pic.

Update

It's Sunday so that means it's the end of the longest week EVER!!! We are so exhasted, emotionally and physically. Our lives pretty much relove around our trips to the hospital, and pumping every 3 hours to take the milk to the hospital. Well alot has changed since I last posted. Last night when we got to the hospital Carson had been moved to the level 2 nursery, which is wonderful. We walked into the NICU and my baby was gone. It gave me quite the scare!! Then the nurses kindly took me to the level 2 nursey across the hall. He is still sun bathing under the juandis lights. On Friday his jaundis got to a level 16 which is really high, and dangerous but now it's gone down to a level 11, hopefully when we go tonight it will be lower.
They took him completly off his oxygen as we were leaving this afternoon, hopefully he does good without it!! He started eating yesterday (through a tube)he's having a hard time dygesting it, but the doctors think he just needs time. Matt got to hold him today for the first time and they actually let us hold him for a long time. They switched him into the isolete bed (the kind that little primature babies go in) because he has figured out how to scoot around his other bed and off the juandis light so the nurses were constantly having to move him back to his spot, so in his new bed he can't go rolling everywhere and the juandis light is much bigger. So over all our little soilder has come along way and hopefully will be home very soon!!!
